Ms. Carolyn Smith,

March 8, 1944 - October 19, 2019

Etta Johnson and Thomas Larry, was born on March 8, 1944 in Baltimore, MD. She joined her parents in heaven on Oct 19, 2019 after a short illness. Carolyn attended Baltimore City Public Schools. She continued her education by earning her certification in Geriatric Nursing. She was a faithful member of Rising Sun Baptist Church, where she sang on the Praise & Worship team, and was a proud member of the Usher Board. She was preceded in death by her husband James (Jimmy Lee) in 2004. She leaves to mourn her last surviving sibling, Kenneth, her children, Antonio (Elaine), Crystal (Jeffrey) and Janice (Justin). Carolyn had 11 grandchildren, Schnieca, Terry , Tyvone, Antonio Jr, Aleasha, Briana, Julian, Shawn, Nathaniel, LovAndre, and Ezekiel, 11 great grands, Tichenna, Kevin, Tyquan, Derrell, Terry Jr, Eric, Ryshae, Jawaun, Shabe, Mariah and Malahni. There are more nieces, nephews cousins, family and church friends and family. She had a special bond with her daughter, Peggy Sue. Upon learning her time was short, there was nobody she wanted to be around more than the daughter who grew up with her. They had a special bond, and nobody will miss her more. Carolyn loved the Lord and prayed often that her family be kept out of harm's way and in the spirit. She was the matriarch of the family and will be greatly missed.
